I just wanted to take a moment out to wish my son, Kyle, a very happy birthday. Today, he turns 17 years old – somehow time is slipping by me and Kyle is going from being a young kid to a young man.

As you know, Kyle is the true inspiration behind Kyle’s Treehouse. It was about 14 years ago when Kyle was first diagnosed with autism. It’s amazing to think back to that time – we knew so little at that point about autism and there was no online community like there is today. But we were lucky and found a treatment that worked for Kyle. Now he’s a thriving and ambitious teenager…well, at least I can use ‘teenager’ for a few more years.

This past year was a big one for Kyle… he’s really delving into his passion – design.  In fact, he designed a special set of tee-shirts and purses, both for charitable causes. We’re so proud of him and all his accomplishments – we can’t wait to see what life at 17 brings him.
